Misha Williams is a singer/songwriter from Houston, Texas. Her music is fun, energetic, contemporary, hard-hitting pop/rock that promotes a positive self-image for young women and encourages them to work hard and believe in themselves.

Despite her young age, Misha has a wealth of live performance experience. She began gracing the stage around the age of 10, and for about the past decade, Misha has been performing around 50 dates a year at a myriad of venues across the state. These included rodeos, festivals, shopping malls, racetracks, and the Texas Oprys, as well as local TV. She has shared the stage with all manners of artists, including recording artist Lee Ann Womack and performing as a supporting act for the Girls Aloud Greatest Hits Arena Tour in the UK. Through this exciting upbringing, Misha is an accomplished performing artist, allowing her to perform and release her first album "Take It Like It Is" in the US, the UK & Japan.

Many of Misha’s self-written and co-written songs have been recognized in major songwriting competitions in the US, including the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the Billboard World Song Contest.

The first single “She’s Got It” from Misha’s album was released October 16, 2006, to rave reviews. The track reached No. 21 at HMV music stores in London and gained immediate airplay on a host of radio stations around the UK, reaching the Top 10 in the Big L’s Fab 40 Radio Chart at No. 8. “She’s Got It” remained on the chart for 9 consecutive weeks, and “Take It Like It Is” was also featured as “Album of the Week”.

Misha’s music has since been discovered by the well-known and hugely successful Japanese record label Avex Group, and her single “Unexpectedly” has been chosen for and released as the theme song for the Japanese version of the movie “Strings,” which came out in theaters on April 28, 2007. Misha has done multiple TV performances and interviews, as well as many magazine interviews and acoustic radio performances in Japan since March 2007.

Immediately after returning from her third week-long promo trip to Japan, Misha accompanied UK based pop group “Girls Aloud” as a supporting act on their 15 date Greatest Hits UK Arena Tour in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland from May 15 – June 2, 2007.

Misha received a degree in Audio Recording Technologies in December of 2008, and she is currently writing with top LA and Nashville writers in preparation of her second album.
