Misha Williams
Artist, Performer, Songwriter, Vocalist

Misha Williams is a twenty one year old, bubbly, wide-eyed sassy singer/songwriter from Houston, Texas. Her music is modern, fun, contemporary, hard-hitting guitar pop, through which she expresses the frustration and humor of being a teenager.
Despite her young age, Misha has a wealth of live performance experience. She began gracing the stage around the age of 10, and for about the past decade, Misha has been performing at a myriad of venues across the state, chalking up 50 plus dates a year. These included rodeos, festivals, shopping malls, racetracks, and the Texas Oprys, as well as local TV. She has shared the stage with all manners of artists, including recording artist Lee Ann Womack. Through this exciting upbringing, Misha is a seriously accomplished performing artist, allowing her to perform in the US, the UK & Japan.
Five years ago, she met up with the celebrated UK record producer John Ravenhall at the Austin Songwriter’s Conference in Texas. John saw Misha perform and was immediately taken by her talent. They began working together to develop Misha’s writing and recording skills in preparation for Misha’s first album. The resultant working relationship became hugely successful.
Many of the songs on the album have either won or have been runners up in recent major songwriting competitions in the US, including the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the Billboard World Song Contest. The culmination of her performance ability and her new found writing talent made her an exciting prospect to record.
Misha’s first album was recorded in London, England, Houston, Texas and Aarhus in northern Denmark. The record was mixed by the legendary Larry Sturm at Pressure Point Studios in Chicago.
“Take It Like It Is” is brimming with fun, commercial, contemporary, pop songs, deliciously draped within an exciting guitar production. The songs are wonderfully crafted, refreshingly upbeat and extremely positive for the listener.
The first single “She’s Got It” from Misha’s album was released October 16, 2006, to rave reviews. The track reached No. 21 at HMV music stores in London and gained immediate airplay on a host of radio stations around the UK, reaching the Top 10 in the Big L’s Fab 40 Radio Chart at No. 8. “She’s Got It” remained on the chart for 9 consecutive weeks, and “Take It Like It Is” was also featured as “Album of the Week”.
Misha’s music has since been discovered by the well-known and hugely successful Japanese record label Avex Group, and her single “Unexpectedly” has been chosen for and released as the theme song for the Japanese version of the movie “Strings,” which came out in theaters on April 28, 2007. Misha has done multiple TV performances and interviews, as well as many magazine interviews and acoustic radio performances in Japan since March 2007.
Immediately after returning from her third week-long promo trip to Japan, Misha accompanied UK based pop group “Girls Aloud” as a supporting act on their 15 date Greatest Hits UK Arena Tour in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland from May 15 – June 2, 2007.
